Okay, All right so right now there doesn't seem to be any way of lower levels to get revenge of higher levels farming them.  And to the benefit of higher levels, there doesn't seem to be any way of high levels to get a real opportunity for good reputation from attacking because they've simply ran out of choices of high rep targets.

So here's my idea, I think you should allow people to chat together and time and attack somehow, I'm personally thinking make a new box that says ambush (or something) instead of attack or instead of mug. After you press this button you have to select one or more users that will also have to press the ambush button in the near future.

When you press this box it will only initiate if All of the selected players have pressed the ambush button.

Once it initiates then all players join in together to attack the bigger player.

If the ambush is successful and the ambushers win then they get the same amount of respect as a person with their combined stats would get defeating the same kind of person.  So if the same kind of person with a combined stats would get x1.5 ff then each person in the ambush that one would get x.1.5.

If the ambush is unsuccessful, then the defender should get the same amount of respect as losing to a person of the same amount of combined stats.  Unfortunately I would say that they should get what the defenders would have gotten but I can see where an unfair dishonest rep farming could come into play after that.  So again I would probably say The defender winning the defend would only get what they would have gotten if they lost to a person of the same stats combined.

I honestly think this would promote more gameplay.

Otherwise you'd have lvl 1's with 400 stats attacking you with Jab's on the assist all day XD

Haha You're totally right, maybe if it's done as a mechanism just to take away just a small amount of rep from the faction if it is done in this manner. Instead of anyone gaining.  I guess that'll be up to Diablo to figure out.

I think this needs to be revisited now that territory wars are being dominated by the smallest factions with he biggest players

OR

Wars should favor activity over one man factions.

OR

both?

I like the idea that was floated A short while back about having outposts or something that people can hold to gain rep over time. 

The ambush idea sounds fun too. Similar benefit to the Torn system but a nice Cartel style.

I'm a firm believer that a huge player should be able to naturally smash anyone.

However to win a whole war by themselves against many people I think strategies should come into play.  Castle doctrine should have a role , maybe traps and place defend obstacles should also play a role.

This is CARTEL after all, lets not pretend guns in the hands of small players don't totally annihilate  bigger people in the real world.  I think SKILL with weapons should eventually replace physical dominance to get away from torn style play.  It would be the same, just not the same.  You know I think a big guys coming towards to take territory with weapons just wouldn't stand a chance against many small men with weapons.

There are a few ideas that I'm currently working on to level the playing field when it comes to Territory wars including a new method of calculating the Rep Targets for wars so that it partially balances it based on the size of Cartels, and a new system of thrown weapons that will allow an attacker to reduce an opponents stats temporarily, which will allow several smaller players to potentially tackle a single large player.

Once they're in place then I will be happy to reevaluate and see what our next steps need to be, I'm not ruling out group attacks but they're not planned for the moment at least.
