Right now, Cartel Empire has a progression system where Reputation is only ever gained and never lost. While this makes growth feel rewarding, it has also led to an unintended side effect: cartels grow indefinitely, conflict has no long-term consequence, and peace becomes the optimal state of the game.

I’d like to propose a lightweight, controlled system where cartels can lose a small amount of Cartel Reputation when their members are attacked, in a way that adds real stakes without punishing new or casual players.

Example concept (numbers adjustable):

When a cartel member is successfully attacked:

Attacker gains Reputation (unchanged)

Defender’s cartel loses a very small fraction (e.g. 0.1%–0.3%) of Cartel Reputation

Losses are:

Reduced when attacking much weaker players. FF Multiplier

Disabled for brand-new players and Chavo status

Why This Improves the Game:

Makes wars and defense meaningful

Encourages cartel coordination and leadership

Adds strategic depth without hard punishment

Slows infinite Rep inflation

Chain Count

Reward

10

+3% Reputation gain for cartel members (15 minutes)

25

+2% Passive Accuracy (temporary, 15 minutes)

50

+10% increased hospital timers inflicted on enemies (15 minutes)

100

+5% Reputation gain for cartel members (30 minutes)

250

+25% increased hospital timers inflicted on enemies (30 minutes)

500

Temporary cartel-wide gym percentage bonus increase  by 10%. To make up for the energy attacking.

Currently, the game has very little direction beyond passive progression. Most of the time players are just watching numbers go up, with very few real negatives or consequences. Because of this, there is less tension and fewer meaningful long-term decisions being made.

Ill admit this is especially an issue for revive-focused factions. If they are targeted or pressured, they have limited ways to respond since their playstyle is meant to be passive and supportive rather than aggressive. They take on risk without having mechanics that properly support or reward that role.

Only thing I can think of is making revives grant Reputation gains as well.

Winterfell would fall before spring :P (see what I did there?)

On a more serious note - This idea needs more tweaking/modification but I agree that something needs to be done to get people out of the gym and start warring a bit more without risking territories

Feel free to message me regarding any questions you have about gameplay!
