Maybe the ability to add temp items to expedition to give certain stats a small boost. Such as grenades for combat.
They are used up with each expedition and maybe give 100 stat boost or something. It would add another item drain to possibly stimulate the economy for moving temps. Possibly something with bandages/first aid kits for caution.
