I like this. Finding mid to upper tier items is time consuming when there are pages and pages of items. It's only going to get bigger as the game draws more people in.

A button menu to select only what we need to see that locks in place unless changed by the player would solve the problems and save both server and processor time Fewer moves for the player.

LOVE the new changes.
Only suggestion I might have for QOL sake is possibly adding clickable description to the page where you can see all the items so that unfamiliar players can see the item ranks, stats, effects of grenades/healing items etc. I know it's possible to view it from the page after you click view offer but then you have to go back if it ends up not being what you're looking for.

Big upvotes for this. In general, but especially for anyone that doesn't have things like item rank memorised, this is a bit of a pain.
EDIT: Also on an accessibility note, the back button behaviour with this change isn't quite right. If I click into an item category, then a specific item, I'd expect hitting the back button to take me back to the item category, not all the way back to the Town navigation page

There's deifnitely some improvements to be made yet, the reason the back button doesn't work is that it loads everything dynamically on the page rather than navigating to a new page so the back button won't quite work as expected. I've honestly no idea if this is something I can easily 'fix' but I'll look into it

Yes, we all hate seeing several pages of cheap baseball bats on the market. A possible suggestion to fix this:
Instead of listing every individual item on the market pages, the market landing page should instead display each type of item available for sale only once, with a text field showing the current lowest listed price and total quantity for sale. This could be a grid format so we can see all available items within a given category. Then the user can click the item they want, and be taken to a view similar to the current market which lists individual items and their respective prices.
I'd draw a mock up if I was any good at that sort of thing, but I am not :-)
