Mine would be Dune Part 1 and Dune Part 2, Dennis V the director said its meant to be watched back to back and I've done that 3 times. As an original reader of all 6 original books as well as Huberts sons continued Dune story. I can safely say it was amazing, was it as intricate and deep as the books? No, but it told the main story, made some major changes, and it did so mastefully????????SPOILERS??????? the last hour of Dune Part 2 where Pauls plans the attack on the Emporer and breaks the galactic treaty of using nukes (he didnt however as he aimed the nukes at a mountain and not humans, so the space guilds didnt hold him accountable), the nukes are followed by a beautiful shot of thousands of freman drawing there Crysknifes, followed by him leading them into an epic battle and 45 min of jaw dropping scenes followed by an ending that leaves you feeling dread, excited and sad. 

The 3rd Part Dune messiah script is currently being worked on, its a way different pace than Dune, I swear 80% of the movie is Paul in the throne room thinking using prescience, commanding his army on jihad, it'll be interesting to see how Dennis V portrays it! 

Genuine 9.8/10 desert island movie, after each rewatch I discover new things, it's absolutely beautiful.

it's been awhile since we've had films of such scale and grandeur, can I ask what you thought of the recent interpretation of  Dune ?

We haven't had a trilogy with quite this scope of story and scale (compared to the books it's small ill admit) but for what he was able to get done on the screen time, Dune was astounding, and I can't wait for Dune Messiah, and then the more exciting part  for the following shows/other directors interpretations on the books ?????SPOILERS?????  During or after Dune Messiah (Depending what is removed from the books,  we will get to witness the true Kwisats Haderach leading into the next several films.

Loved it myself, and will always love LOTR, LOTR was a cultural phenomenon, never seen theaters so packed and hyped up especially during the Battle of Helms Deep or the Battle of The Pelennor Fields....so good, great picks ELMO and thanks for replying!

I have to go with 2 movies from same writer/director Shane Carruth. he wrote , directed and stars in them.
