You can now queue up to six back-to-back runs of the same job without clicking Start again and again. Standard and advanced jobs just got a serious reputation boost. Your cartel can invest in new Job-tab perks. The University opened a PR & Social Media program. Achievements gained new endgame tiers — plus a brand-new Crime Mastery track and a Master Planner merit you can buy with achievement points.

What is job chaining?

Job chaining lets you line up several consecutive runs of one job before you start.

  • On the Jobs page, use the chain count on a job card (1 = normal single job, up to your max).
  • Job 1 runs immediately. Jobs 2, 3, 4… wait in a queue and start automatically when the previous one finishes.
  • Your completion message shows where you are in the queue: [Chain: Job 2 of 5].

Same job only. You cannot chain Intimidation into Arson in one queue — pick one hustle and ride it.

The trade-off: longer chains = more heat

Running jobs back-to-back is efficient, but the streets notice. Each job after the first in a chain:

  • Pays less cash, reputation, and robbery materials (on success).
  • Has a higher chance to fail (your base odds for that job are shown on the card; later positions are worse).

Job 1 is always full rewards and your normal success chance. From job 2 onward, penalties stack:

Position in chain Reward payout Extra failure pressure (before perks)
1 100% None
2 85% +15%
3 70% +30%
4 55% +45%
5 40% +60%
6 25% +75%

The job card shows per-position success % and reward % before you commit — use it.

What is NOT penalized by chaining: job skill XP (experience toward 100%) and achievement progress. A chained success still counts as a full success for mastery and Crime Mastery.

Jail, hospital, cancel, and revive

  • Jail or hospital (from the job or from an attack while working) pauses the chain. Nothing else in the queue runs until you are free.
  • When you are released — timer expires, medical item, armory item, Personal Favour (jail), or another player revives you — the queue resumes automatically with the next job.
  • Cancel ends the entire remaining chain. Completed jobs keep their loot; the current job and everything still queued is lost.
  • You cannot cancel while you are still in jail or hospital. Get out first, then decide.
  • You cannot start a different job while a chain is still in progress (including while paused).

Chains do not expire on their own while paused — but you will want to finish or cancel eventually so you can work again.

Prestige: three tracks, not two

At 100% skill in a job, you can Prestige and reset skill to 0% while keeping permanent bonuses. You now choose between three upgrades (max 5 each, 15 total per job):

  1. Time — job finishes faster (unchanged).
  2. Reward — more cash and (on standard/advanced jobs) more reputation per success (+20% per level).
  3. Chain+1 max chain length per level (up to 6 jobs total at Chain Prestige 5).

The Prestige button appears at 100% skill until you have maxed all three tracks (5/5/5).

Standard & advanced jobs: reputation matters again

Jobs are grouped into three lanes:

Category Jobs What changed
Standard Intimidation, Arson, GTA, Transport Drugs Double base reputation on success. Best lane for rep grinding when combined with new perks/courses below.
Advanced Blackmail, Hacking Double base reputation on success. Reward prestige now boosts rep as well as cash.
Robbery Farm, Agave, Coca Paste, Construction Still the cash and supply-material path. Rep perks from PR/cartel do not apply here.

Reward prestige (the existing prestige track) now increases reputation on standard and advanced jobs, not only cash.

Cartel perks (Job tab)

Cartel leaders can research two new trees for members:

Standard Job Rep (8 levels, up to +200%)

Increases reputation from standard jobs only (Intimidation, Arson, GTA, Transport Drugs). Stacks with university PR courses. Does not affect robberies or advanced jobs.

Chaining Efficiency (10 levels, up to 3% penalty reduction)

Reduces the chaining penalty on every position after the first. Helps success odds and reward % on long chains. Applies to all job types when chained.

Existing cartel Job-tab perks (e.g. job success rate, job profit) still work as before.

University: PR & Social Media (PR101–PR105)

A new course category at the University:

Course Main benefit
PR101 — Introduction to PR +25% rep on standard jobs
PR102 — Networking Slightly less chaining penalty
PR103 — Social Media Strategy +75% rep on standard jobs
PR104 — Social Media Data Mining More chaining penalty reduction
PR105 — Internal Communications Largest chaining penalty cut in the PR line

PR101 + PR103 together give +100% standard-job rep (on top of the new double base). PR102, PR104, and PR105 help long chains run cleaner. Courses have prerequisites — work through the line in order.

Achievements & merits (Job Rewards)

Crime Mastery (new)

Tracks total successful jobs of any type — every job, including each job in a chain counts as its own success. Eleven tiers from 100 up to 100,000 lifetime job wins.

Per-job mastery — new top tiers

Every job mastery achievement (Intimidation through Hacking) now has two additional levels (Levels 10 and 11) for veterans who have already cleared the old cap.

Master Planner (new merit — Job Rewards tab)

Spend achievement points on Master Planner (up to 10 levels). Each level reduces chaining penalty by 0.3%. Pairs well with cartel Chaining Efficiency and the PR networking courses if you live in six-job chains.

Quick tips

  • New players: Start with single jobs (chain = 1) until skill and success rates are comfortable. Intimidation is still the usual entry point.
  • Rep grinders: Standard jobs + reward prestige + PR101/PR103 + cartel Standard Job Rep = huge rep. Chaining is optional — job 1 in a chain has no penalty.
  • Material farmers: Robbery chains still work; watch the reward % drop on later positions. Perks that only buff standard-job rep will not help robberies.
  • Long-chain specialists: Stack chain prestige, Chaining Efficiency, PR102/104/105, and Master Planner. Check the odds panel before you commit to 6.

FAQ

I have never done a job. Where do I start?

Go to Jobs, pick Intimidation (or another job you qualify for), leave the chain count at 1, and hit Start. Completing jobs safely builds skill % toward 100%. Higher Intelligence (University) and job skill both improve success chance.

What is “skill” and “prestige”?

Skill is your 0–100% experience bar on that specific job. At 100%, you can Prestige once per reset: pick faster jobs, better rewards, or longer chains, then skill resets to 0% so you climb again.

How do I chain jobs?

On the job card, set the chain number (1 to your max), then Start. See What is chain capacity? below for how that max is calculated.

What is chain capacity?

Chain capacity is the maximum number of jobs you can queue in one chain for that specific job. Everyone starts at 1 (a single run — same as before chaining existed). Each Chain Prestige level on that job adds +1 capacity, up to 6 jobs total at Chain Prestige 5. Capacity is per job type: your Intimidation chain limit and your Transport Drugs chain limit are tracked separately. The chain input on the job card will not let you pick a number above your current capacity.

Can I chain different jobs together?

No. One job type per chain.

Does failing a job skip the rest of the chain?

A normal fail still counts that position; the next queued job runs anyway. If you go to jail or hospital, the chain pauses until you are out — you do not skip ahead.

I died / went to hospital mid-chain. What now?

Wait for release, use a medical item, get revived, or time out. The chain continues with the next queued job when you are Active again. You cannot cancel until you are out of jail/hospital.

What does Cancel do?

Stops all remaining jobs in the chain. You keep rewards from jobs already finished. You lose the in-progress job and every job still waiting in queue.

Why are my later chain jobs paying less rep/cash?

Chaining penalty — by design. Job 1 is full pay; each step after cuts the payout multiplier (down to 25% on job 6 before perks). Mitigation perks soften this but never remove it entirely.

Is my skill XP reduced on chained jobs?

No. Full skill XP on every completion (success or fail per existing job rules).

Do chained jobs count for achievements?

Yes. Each successful completion increments per-job mastery and Crime Mastery. Failed jobs do not count as successes for mastery.

What jobs get the new double reputation?

Standard (Intimidation, Arson, GTA, Transport Drugs) and Advanced (Blackmail, Hacking). Robberies use the same rep formula as before (they are still tuned for materials and cash).

Do PR101 / PR103 help Agave robberies or Blackmail?

PR rep courses: standard jobs only. Blackmail/Hacking get the 2× base rep buff but not the PR or cartel Standard Job Rep bonuses. Chaining courses (PR102/104/105) help any chained job.

What is Crime Mastery?

A new achievement for total lifetime job wins across all types. Chaining six successes in one session adds six toward Crime Mastery.

What is Master Planner?

A new Job Rewards merit on the Achievements page. Spend points to buy levels that make long chains easier (less penalty per position). It does not replace cartel or university investments — it stacks with them.

Can my cartel’s perks help me?

If your cartel has researched Standard Job Rep or Chaining Efficiency on the Job tab, all members benefit. Talk to your cartel lead about prioritizing the tree that matches how your crew plays.

Is job 1 in a chain worse than a normal single job?

No. Position 1 has no chaining penalty — same rewards and odds as starting a single job with chain count set to 1.

I’m stuck “busy on a job” but nothing is running.

You may have a paused chain (jail/hospital) or a queued chain with no active timer. Check the job card for chain status. After release, the queue should resume; if not, cancel once you are Active to clear it.

Do global events (double job rep, etc.) still work?

Yes. Event and boost multipliers apply before the chain penalty is applied to payouts.

Amazingly quick turnaround from suggestion to implemented!

It'd be nice if the chain number selection were persistent. For instance if you did 2 last time, if it'd default to that.
