Halloween — Trick or Treat (player guide)

When: 25 October 12:00 LPT until 1 November 12:00 LPT (when Día de los Difuntos begins).
Where to start: Town.

This is a week of Candy, house visits, and a short-lived shop. You do not need a property to take part. If you do have a lived-in house, you can host visitors too.

What to do today

  1. Open Town. The Halloween tiles sit with the other shops.
  2. Smash the pumpkin once. You always get Candy.
    1. You can do this once per day.
  3. Keep playing as usual (attacks, jobs, revives). Those can drop more Candy.
  4. Open Halloween Houses and knock on a few porches (8 knocks per day).
  5. Spend Candy at the Halloween Shop, or eat it from Inventory. Eaten candy cannot be spent.

Candy

Candy is a family of named items. Each piece has a candy value (the shop price unit) and a unique eat effect. Eat it from Inventory, or spend it at the shop. You cannot do both with the same piece.

Candy is tradeable. It stays in your inventory after 1 November. The shop closes; eating and trading still work. There is no leftover cash dump.

Candy Value If you eat it
Candy Corn 1 +5 Energy, +5 min Booster cooldown
Candy Pumpkin Seed 2 +8 Energy, +8 min Booster cooldown
Blood Lollipop 2 +40 Life, +5 min Medical cooldown
Sugar Skull 2 +£8,000
Grave Gum 3 −10 min Medical cooldown, +5 min Booster cooldown
Witch Fudge 3 −10 min Booster cooldown, +5 min Medical cooldown
Spider Taffy 4 +12 Energy, +12 min Booster cooldown
Caramel Apple 4 −10 min Drug cooldown, +5 min Booster cooldown
Ghost Mint 5 +80 Life, +10 min Medical cooldown
Bone Chocolate 5 +£20,000
Pumpkin Candy 12 +20 Energy, +20 min Booster cooldown. Smash only — combat, jobs, and revives never drop it.

Energy from Candy cannot push you past 1000 Energy.

How you get Candy

  • Attacks you win (leave, mug, or hospitalise) — about 10% chance, 1–5 pieces.
  • Jobs that succeed — similar table, chance scales with job length.
  • Successful revives — about 10% chance, 1–5 pieces.
  • Pumpkin smash — once per day, always Candy (see below).
  • House visits — Treat, beating a Trick house, or exploring a haunted house.

Jobs can get Spooked instead of succeeding (see Spooked below).

Pumpkin smash

Where: Town → Pumpkin smash.

One smash per day (resets at 00:00 LPT). You always get 1–6 other Candy. Half the time you also get 1–4 Pumpkin Candy. There is a separate 10% chance at a 2026 costume: Pumpkin King Costume or Jack-o’-Lantern Suit.

Halloween Shop (Celia’s stall)

Where: Town → Halloween Shop.

Open only during Trick or Treat. You pay with candy value (you pick which Candy to spend). Leftover value becomes shop credit for later buys in this shop. Credit cannot be eaten.

Unlocks are permanent. Equip cosmetics at Cosmetics. Color, font, and badges show on your name (profile and chat). The Haunted House theme is the profile page only.

Stock Candy value
Name colours (Pumpkin Neon, Grape Neon, Moonlight Neon, Frost Split, Cotton Split, Ectoplasm Wash) 2,000 each
Fonts (Nosifer, Metal Mania, Frijole) 600 each
Badges (Jack-o’-lantern, Ghost, Skull, Arched cat, Frankenstein, Witch hat) 300 each
Haunted House profile theme 5,000
Candy Stall Mask 1,800
Calavera Mezcal (+20 Energy, +2 hours Booster cooldown). Cannot be traded, sent, listed, donated, or put in the armory. 40
Witch’s Rest — shave 1 hour of Booster cooldown (does nothing if you have none). Up to 3 per day. 100

Visiting houses (Trick or Treat)

Where: Town → Halloween Houses, or Visit Property on someone’s profile.

Anyone can visit. You need a built, lived-in property only if you want to host.

  • 8 knocks per day (visit charges). No Energy.
  • One visit per house per day.
  • You cannot visit from Hospital or Jail.

On the house page you knock and (if you want) pull Energy Tricks. Both happen on that same porch.

Treat houses

Safe, no risk. You get 1–4 spawned Candy from the porch. The host gets about half of that (at least 1) as a kickback. Nobody loses Candy from their inventory.

Trick houses

The host never loses inventory Candy.

  • About 45% of the time you get Spooked. The host gets 1–2 Candy. You may also land in the hospital for 15 minutes (5% chance).
  • If you beat the trap, you get 2–4 Candy and walk away.

Porch decorations and the Candy Stall Mask change these odds (see Collectibles).

Hosting (if you have a house)

Where: Property, while you are living in a built house.

  1. Set the house to Treat or Trick.
  2. Optionally display up to 3 Halloween collectibles from 2026 on the porch.

Treat: steady kickback whenever someone knocks.
Trick: you only get Candy when the trap lands. Visitors who beat it get a better payout and you get nothing that visit.

If you go AFK for more than 7 days, your lived-in house becomes haunted (see below). Logging in puts it back on the normal list.

Tricks (Energy, not a visit charge)

On any occupied house page, the tray under the porch has five Tricks. Each costs 10 Energy. You can use each Trick once per day, and only one Trick per house per day. Success is a short buff — no Candy.

About 45% of the time the occupant catches you (porch decorations and masks change that). If they catch you, there is a 5% chance of 2 hours in hospital. You are not Spooked by a failed Trick.

Trick Success
Smash pumpkins +10% Strength for 15 minutes
Graffiti +10% Accuracy for 15 minutes
Salt the candy dish +10% Agility for 15 minutes
Egg house +10% Defence for 15 minutes
Switch Numbers +20% Intelligence for 15 minutes (Gym / University training)

Haunted houses

Where: Town → Haunted Houses, or Explore Haunted House on an AFK player’s profile.

These are lived-in houses whose occupant has been gone more than 7 days. The whole server can explore the same house. It is not used up.

  • 15 Energy per explore.
  • 25 explores per day (separate from the 8 visit knocks).
  • Success: 2–6 Candy (better than a Treat visit).
  • About 55% Spooked (15 minutes), plus an independent 5% hospital (15 minutes) chance.
  • The host gets nothing — they are not home.

When that player logs in, the house leaves this list and goes back to the Trick or Treat list.

Spooked

A 15-minute overlay. It does not cancel attacks. You can still fight.

You can get Spooked from:

  • a job that was about to succeed (~12.5%; hospital uses that job’s normal timer, 5% chance)
  • failing a Trick-house knock
  • exploring a haunted house

Failed Energy Tricks (smash pumpkins, graffiti, and so on) do not Spook you.

Good Ghost (Threetoothjoe)

A rare helpful interrupt on jobs, knocks, and haunted explores. About 4% base chance (porch, mask, and Joe’s Charm can raise it). A hit never Spooks and never steals.

If it would have been a Trick spook, the ghost clears the trap and you get the win payout instead. Blessings are one of: 2–4 Candy, 30 minutes off Medical cooldown (or +25 Energy if you had no medical timer), +25 Energy, or +5% combat stats for 15 minutes.

Threetoothjoe’s Charm can drop from a blessing. Own it (inventory or gallery) for +5% Good Ghost chance. It does not add porch Candy or Spook, and it cannot be displayed on the porch.

Collectibles and the porch

Only 2026 (and later) Halloween collectibles can sit on the porch. Each displayed one adds +1 Candy min and max, +5% Trick / haunted Spook chance, and +2% Good Ghost chance. Up to 3 slots.

  • Pumpkin King Costume and Jack-o’-Lantern Suit — rare smash drops. They show as the scarecrow / suited skeleton on your housefront.
  • Candy Stall Mask — shop. Equip it for +8% chance to beat a Trick house, −10% visitor Spook, and +2% Good Ghost. You can also display it.

Set the display on Property. You must still own the item.

When the week ends

At 12:00 LPT on 1 November, Halloween hands off to Día de los Difuntos. The shop, smash, visits, haunted explores, and Tricks close. Candy you already have stays. Eat it or trade it whenever you like. It will also be spendable next year.

FAQ

Do I need a house?
No. Smash, Candy drops, the shop, visits, haunted explores, and Tricks all work without one. You only need a built, lived-in property to host and decorate a porch.

Can I host a Trick or Treat porch if I rent my house?
Yes, if you are living in it. Treat/Trick and porch display are on Property and belong to the occupant, not the landlord. If you own a house and rented it out, your tenant hosts that porch.

Where is everything?
Town. Look for Halloween Shop, Pumpkin smash, Halloween Houses, and Haunted Houses. You can also Visit Property / Explore Haunted House from a player’s profile.

Can I visit my own house?
No.

I am in Hospital or Jail. Can I still smash / visit / Trick?
No. Finish the stay first.

Does a Trick house steal my Candy?
No. Hosts never lose inventory Candy. Treat candy is spawned. Trick candy is spawned for the winner of that roll.

Do visit charges and haunted explores share a pool?
No. 8 knocks and 25 haunted explores are separate. Energy Tricks do not use a knock.

Why did my job fail when I should have succeeded?
You were Spooked (~12.5% on a would-be success during the week). Attacks are never interrupted this way. A Good Ghost hit on a job skips the Spook and blesses you instead.

I smashed and did not get Pumpkin Candy.
That is expected about half the time. You still got other Candy. Pumpkin Candy never drops from combat, jobs, or revives.

What is shop credit?
If you overpay in candy value, the leftover stays as Halloween shop credit for the next buy. It is not eatable and it is not a wallet you take out of the stall.

Calavera Mezcal will not trade / list / send.
Correct. It is Untradeable on purpose.

Do old collectibles from other events help the porch?
No. Only 2026 (and later) Halloween collectibles can be displayed.

I displayed a costume and then sold it. Does the bonus still apply?
No. The porch only counts items you still own.

Will Candy be deleted on 1 November?
No. The shop closes. Candy stays.

Can I buy these cosmetics with Points or cash later?
Not this year. Candy during the week is the shop currency.
