Been a while. but this morning N_E_X_U_S and I had a good conversation where we both had some interesting ideas. I'II give him time to write his up and share it with you all but here is mine

Hoarding is deemed the main issue of the 'scarcity' of items in the market today. I'd like to propose a new feature that can slightly punish hoarding and an incentive to sell more often.

Player Raids

This would work in two different ways. A new attack option is put forward to raid a player. This is similar to mugging but you have the opportunity to steal 1% of a random consumable items thev hold. A new merit available to upgrade the amount stolen from another player to 5% possible cartel upgrades to further increase it to 10%.

Items with less than 1%-10% increments cannot be stolen. Example if I have 1 Supporter Pack it cannot be stolen from another player. Weapons and armor and collectibles would also be excluded from this list.

Items that could be stolen include

Alcohol

Construction Materials

Drugs

Gifts

Grenades

Meds

Production Materials

Essentially each item would be assigned a number based on how many items that meet the 1% available to steal req. That number is selected at random determining which item you will steal from the other player.

Example

1. Corana Beer x196

2. Mexcal Beer x21

3. Blancoda Tequilax134

4. Repose Tequila x388

5. Anejo Tequila x177

6. Raicillax93

7. Bandage x2166

8. Small Medical Kit x4056

9. Large Medical Kit x992

10. Basic Trauma Kit x490

11. Large Trauma Kit x304

12. Tainted Cocaine x86

13. Tainted Cannabis x1381

14. Cannabis x9569

15. Cocaine x128

16. Bag of Fertiliser x19

17. Agave Heart x1054

18. Coca Paste x1644

19. Dog Food x190

20. Street-Quality Enhancement x5370

21. Syndicate-lssued Enhancementx16

22. Blacksite Prototype Enhancement x13

23. Velvet Mystery Giftx1 13

24. Glittering Giftx3

25. Rustic Charm Giftx4

26. Fragmentation Grenadex1753

27. Flash Bang Grenade x1164

28. Illuminating Grenade x1006

29. Tear Gas Grenade x688

30. Stun Grenade x967

31. Nails x10

32. Bricks x77

33. Concrete Bags x1243

34. Steel x96

Someone Raids me and number 14 Cannabis is selected at random behind the scenes. They successfully steal 95 Cannabis with no added stats to raid rewards and up to 950 at 10% max. Similar reputation payout to mugging.

Now how do we protect our items? A new Warehouse can be available for upgrade in our existing player homes with a capacity of up to 10,000 items. You can put all one item in the warehouse or multiple items up to a quantity equaling your max storage. With the ability to equip Sicarios to the warehouse to mitigate losses to your items that are unable to be stored safely. Max capacity of assigned Sicarios is 2 no matter the level of your warehouse. This gives end game players a reason to continue recruiting Sicarios making the mission to recruit a worthwhile one for end game players.

R1-R9 Sicarios would offer a base protection of .01%-.09% But a chance to critical failure at 2% that kills off Sicarios and negates their protection.

Shack no warehouse

Bungalow Warehouse level 1 2000 items

Townhouse warehouse level 2 4000 items

Villa warehouse level 3 6000 items

Mansion warehouse level 4 8000 items

Private Estate level 5 10000 items

**Items in gallery are not protected.**

NPC Raids

Then there is also a daily raid hosted by the game. Once a day within a 24hr period you get raided. Timer resets every day and the interval is completely random. Any items that cannot be broken into an even number or rounded down to the nearest even number are marked safe as you don't have a noticeable amount.

Three different tiers of npc Raids can occur.

T1 Petty Thief 1% stolen.

T2 Rival Cartel 2% stolen

T3 Feds 3% stolen.

What this could do to the market. My vision is that if there is a penalty for hoarding items as commodities we would see an influx of items hit the market forcing competitive pricing and proving the abundance.

I like the warehouse raiding idea.

But rather than % we should use value to determine how much item is stolen. For example we can have range from 2mil to 10mil( in game value) stolen which can include everything in our items except pets and equipped items. Also after the raid you can use some cash to fix the warehouse leading to down time when others cant atk.

The downtime can be affected by how strong of a player atked you(battlestats wise). So if its someone close to you in battlestat you can train up and raid him back as revenge within a certain time. During revenge raids the others players downtime are not counted.

Sicarios can affect the total value being stolen.

Of course the game wont tell you how much value is stolen as it would create confusion between market value and ingame value.

Not interested about the npc raid tbf.
