I think a loan system could work, but only if it requires collateral.
Players should be required to lock valuable items as collateral before receiving a loan. The total value of the collateral should be at least 50% of the loan amount.
While the loan is active, the collateral cannot be traded, transferred, dropped, or used in any way. It remains locked by the bank until the debt is fully repaid.
If the repayment deadline passes and the player has not paid the loan back, the bank should automatically confiscate the collateral permanently.
However, I still see a potential loophole. A player could create a new account, wait until they meet the minimum requirements, repay a few small loans to build trust, then take a much larger loan and never return to the game.
Because of this, collateral alone may not be enough. The system should also include strict requirements such as minimum account age, activity requirements, reputation requirements, and a maximum loan limit based on player progress.
Even with these protections, developers should be very careful because loan systems are often vulnerable to abuse by disposable accounts.

Like the collateral idea. But the ingame value which the bank will use is not the same as market value. Ingame rai is only 1.1mil...if i want to take a emergency loan to buy that rai i will need 12.5mil. For the collateral to work the bank has to take items at market value. I do not think the game should acknowledge the market value of items..networth etc will be effected.
Just my thoughts maybe there is a way to make collateral work.

I suggest that item values used as collateral should follow market prices, similar to the item donation system. Fixed inventory values should not be used. This would make collateral values more accurate and fair.
I like the idea, the problem is that many players don't level up to avoid reputation targets 👍
