- No, this is a crime game (that occasionally includes war) - exact timers are fine.
- Both new player protection and player abuse protection are already in the game. Train harder, take the beatings and let them waste their energy.
In the vast majority of situations, if you've become a target then it's either because you've levelled up too high and become a rep target (your own fault for levelling up without any stats to back it up) or you've been an idiot and someone is punishing you for it. In the rare instance that you are being bullied then reach out - people will help you if the situation is genuine.

- yes its a crime game in what reality do you know someones exact release time from hospital would be? (have it randomly between 1 hour up to 3 hours).
2. retnetion of players as i stated which you seemed to ignore. i see lots of low lvl inactive players. maybe there is lots of inactive low lvl players for a reason ?

This is just in general how this type of game typically work, most people won't farm you unless you're very high level for your stat range, or you're very disliked for some reason. If you're getting farmed excessively you can generally ask them nicely to stop, or only farm you when you've been offline/idle for a certain amount of time, or join a cartel to help get people off your back.
For your point on low levelled inactives, literally every game have people who start out and decide early on that the game isn't for them and quit, this game in particular has an early game that encourages staying low level and low stat for maybe half a year until you've managed to do most of the medical education and finished your intelligence grind. So there's plenty of reasons people might quit early game, I just don't see getting farmed as a big reason for people quitting.

A timer only known by the player in question, will not stop those that are truly dedicated to hosping and or keeping you within the hospital.
This will do nothing, you will get maybe a few moment of restbite... pointless.
Player retention, is an issue that has always plagued such games of this niche, Torn is the favourite amongst everyone. this is probably the 2nd best option available there is much to know and learn in regards to player retention yes, but believing this suggestion would impact player retention to the point it will reach high enough numbers??
Utter fantasy. Plus how do you know players are getting abused? new players enter the game, and new players 'abuse' and or hit the new players more so than any older player?

In theory it's a decent idea, but I don't think it's gonna work for several reasons:
- random hospital time
- it's already random, so the difference would be that only the player knows about it
- How would you know when someone leaves the hospital? You'd have to camp on their page, making the problem arguebly worse
- cooldown:
- Would make rep trading very annoying
I think the cooldown idea might have some merit. I know there are people who use scripts (despite it being not allowed) to hit you the moment you leave the hospital, making it impossible to play, even if you use medical items to get out. But I would make it very, very small (10 seconds maybe) and maybe only apply when getting out of the hospital with mechanics (like meds, revives) and not when getting out naturally. That should not affect anyone but scripters and rep-traders. And if it's togglable, it would not even affect rep traders.

yeah I think 100% release times should not be seen by anyone other than the person who is in hospital. Least then if someone wants to be a idiot and abuse and attack someone constantly least they have to put a bit of effort in.
im glad someone else thinks the cooldown is a good idea, it doesn't need to be a huge timer just something in place to stop the game being unplayable like you mentioned. Least it would throw off there bots/scripts from hitting that exact second time is up.
maybe the guys against this change are scripters and the guys in charge need to ban anyone caught doing so.

I am indeed one of the scripters - all my scripts are legal and have been personally given to Diablo for the once over. I can track multiple people to within a second of their release - what you're suggesting will only make things harder for the people that don't use scripts/API (where this information is freely given).
If you want to remove this information from the API then all you're doing is making one or more people sit on a screen and press F5 basically constantly - and trust me people will do this which creates completely unnecessary server load.
Don't get me wrong, there are definitely people out there using illegal scripts but don't tar everyone with the same brush.
Many of you have never warred in Torn or you would know that allowing people out of hospital for more than a couple of seconds (let alone 10!) is considered slow and they can wreak havoc if they're remotely competent (especially on concerted pushes).

Scripts should be banned regardless of what it does, I play another game where they allow it for every aspect of the game so your input is near 0. It's a slippery slope to game becoming trash. (Give people an inch they will take a mile)
if someone wants to sit there spamming F5 that's on them, at least there is a little effort going in, rather than having exact time to press a button.
2. you could put a cooldown in place so the victim cant be attacked by the same player repeatedly.
the above suggestions are to help keep new players around rather than just leaving because they are being abused, as i see there is a lot of inactive low players in this game, which supports that a change is needed.
