Having a confirmation screen would also help prevent accidental listings.
2. From the Auction Marketplace
Add an “Add New Listing” button at the Auction Place, allowing players to select an item from their inventory and create the auction there.
🎯 Why this would be useful
The existing Police Auction already proves that an auction-style system can work in Cartel Empire. This would basically bring a similar marketplace system to active players, giving players another way to trade valuable or unwanted inventory items.
It could also create a much more dynamic player-driven economy instead of items simply sitting unused in inventories.
Important: The no-cancel rule would prevent players from manipulating bids or removing an item after seeing how much interest it gets.
I think an Active Player Auction Marketplace, alongside the existing Police Auction, could be a really interesting addition
I’d like to suggest an Auction Marketplace for active players, inspired by the existing Police Auction system already in the game.
🔨 How it could work
Active players would be able to put their own inventory items up for auction and let other players bid on them.
When creating an auction:
- Select an item directly from your inventory
- Select the quantity to auction
- Set a minimum starting bid
- Select the auction duration/time period
- Other players can place bids during that period
- The highest bidder receives the item when the auction ends
- If there are no bids, the item/quantity is automatically returned to the seller
- No cancellation option once an auction is listed
📦 Two ways to create a listing
1. From Inventory
Add a “List on Auction” option to inventory items.
The player selects:
Item → Quantity → Minimum Bid → Duration → Confirm Listing»
Having a confirmation screen would also help prevent accidental listings.
2. From the Auction Marketplace
Add an “Add New Listing” button at the Auction Place, allowing players to select an item from their inventory and create the auction there.
