On the calendar, it shows the event lasting until May 14th, which I assume stops at 00:00 LPT kicking off the next day (May 15), but drinking alcohol does not give the 2x boost currently. See image below

As others have said, all events start and end at 12:00 LPT unless otherwise stated.
