I see a error in the Mathematics in the game Tax calculations! here my example which is a true banking event,,,

(ERROR: I copied the deposit as stated in game but it didn't copy for whatever reason! but I'm sure it can be seen & verified from the back side of the game!)

I just deposited 143,088 & the tax was 2,9??. 

my math from a calculator,,, 143,088 x 2% (or .02) equals 2,861.76 or rounded # is 2,862 total tax!

are my calculations wrong? if no, why is there a difference?

9,187 x 2% = 183.74 or 184 tax not 188

It works like this -

You deposit £143,088, the game calculates 2% of this which is £2862 (rounded). £143,088 - £2862 = £140,226.

This then shows the following green status bar showing the total paid into your bank (after tax) plus how much you paid in tax.
09:23:21 - You successfully deposited £140,226, paying £2862 to clean the cash.
