I am planning to take a look at this soon (I did put out an attempted fix, but it did not take it seems).
Useful information to me on this would be if anyone that has experienced this is playing on PC vs mobile. So far everyone that has experienced this has been on an Android mobile device from my digging.

Ive started sending people a dollar with a message to get their attention 😂
After chat history fix not to randomly open up old chats, new chats are not popping up too. I accidentally found a new message in a history and no chat window popped up
