The list below is a summary of most updates, additions and fixes since the last update post, this is not an exhaustive list. Features appearing in the post below may not necessarily be in their final state and may change in subsequent updates.

It's been another very busy month for Cartel Empire, we've seen the introduction of several new systems, changes to existing core systems and more ways than ever to balance the playing field between Cartels of different sizes. But we're not through yet, there are a ton of new suggestions on the forums and on the official Discord to which I give thanks to the amazing community for the ongoing support.

As a quick run through, the following brand new systems were added over the past month -

  • Basic User bans and chat moderation features

  • Notifications for full energy, life, job completion

New

  • Brand new homepage layout.
  • Added a new Features page to the public site.
  • Implemented user ban and chat ban moderator tools
  • Implemented friends & enemies lists.
  • Players may now toggle the ability to allow others to revive them in the Hospital.
  • Brand new compact Town layout
  • Updated Jobs page to a new more mobile-friendly layout
  • Updated description for most jobs.
  • Modified Fair Fight calculations and base player Rep
  • Added minimum requirement for 15 Cartel members to start a Territory war
  • Added new Bulldog, Chow Chow and Leonberger dog breeds
  • Productions now show the name of the Supply Item required, and dynamically show the number required per day
  • Completely redesigned Productions page
  • Added category filter to Inventory
  • Added filter for Player Events log
  • Added filter for Cartel Events
  • Minor updates to rules
  • Alejandro has moved into town with a new Armed Surplus shop.
  • Moved various items from Diablo's to Armed Surplus
  • Fixed attacks not showing reports nor events
  • Players on your Enemies list can no longer chat with you
  • Increased maximum Cocaine production to 12 from 10
  • Created new action icons on profile
  • Created new responsive layout for profiles
  • Stopped top bar being sticky
  • Added chance of producing 'Tainted Cocaine' which allows a player to send themself to Hospital.
  • Added new 'Tainted Cannabis' item, also rewrote item description for Tainted Cocaine, Cannabis and Cocaine.
  • Increased Weed Field max production to 12 items. Added small chance of producing 'Tainted Cannabis'
  • Tweaked potential Territory benefits -
    • Large reduction in Gym gain perks
    • Increased Medical item perk quantity
    • Increased Production Supply perk quantity
    • Reduced Point perk quantity
  • Improved War HQ War Balance display, Rep Target now shows the Rep required for your own Cartel to win the war
  • Added Intelligence History graph to University for Donators
  • Rounded graph values to 2 decimal places
  • Optimised adding perks to all members on Cartel Perk purchase
  • Dogs pane now shows 'Max Loyalty' on feed and train buttons if at 100% Loyalty
  • Added Item Values to Inventory
  • Increased variation in Drug pricing per day.
  • Minor increases to effects on Dog Loyalty from University courses
  • Reduced button sizes on mobile.
  • Friends & Enemies counts now shown on profiles
  • Added mobile-specific homepage background
  • added display of own Friends and Enemies counts on own profile
  • Added limits to player connections.
  • Updated dog renaming to new method, resolving mobile bug and improving overall experience
  • Added display of Rep in attack events
  • Implemented countdown on other players profiles for Hospital and Jail status.
  • Implemented confirmation on donator refills/resets
  • Added confirmations to Armory refills
  • Capped attack rep gain at base 800
  • Changed war rep gain to 'Cartel rep gain' rather than the full Rep of each attack
  • Hospital reason now links to a user where applicable
  • Created 5 new thrown grenade items.
  • Added the ability to equip/unequip new thrown items.
  • Added the ability for thrown items to contain unique perks.
  • Tidied up attack code.
  • Throwable perks now are removed when entering Hospital
  • Added Thrown items category to Item Market
  • Initial working example of notifications
  • Implemented settings for notifications
  • Notifications now open page when clicked
  • Changed how Life and Energy increment
  • Added notifications for maximum life and energy
  • Updated Cartel Armory's to allow proper Tainted Item usage
  • Updated Tainted Items to only be usable whilst not in Hospital and/or Jail (may change)
  • Updated local development environment to HTTPS
  • Dead notification subscribers are now automatically removed
  • Narco's Assigned field and Assign button now disabled on unowned Productions

Bug Fixes

  • Dogs are now properly limited to 100% Loyalty & Experience.
  • partial fix for Attack Report order being wrong
  • Fixed wrong Territory Item benefit probabilities, which caused crashes in the Territory bonus job.
  • Added additional error handling to territory bonus job
  • Added additional checks to removing Cartel members and transferring ownership of Cartels
  • Added error handling to all Cartel queries
  • Added error handling to cartel applications
  • Added error handling to Bounties
  • Added error handler and additional checks to Bank withrawals and deposits

  • Fixed bug where retrieving incorrect last chat time

  • Updated the Item Market to use the £ Currency symbol

  • Fix for attack records not showing all rows on occasion
  • Fixed Territory benefit change event not triggering
  • Fixed layout issue on Mail pages on mobile devices
  • Fixed Advanced Search redirecting to normal search for Subscribers
  • Fixed comment disliking/liking on Forum not working as expected
  • Added error handling to all Job queries
  • Updated all Mail queries to add error handling, also removed potential SQL injection vulnerability
  • Fixed homepage background not showing correctly on mobile.
  • Fixed issue with error handler showing 'undefined' message
  • Added proper error handling to all market queries
  • Added proper error handling to all player log queries
  • Added error handling to all production queries

  • Added error handling to all trade and transaction queries, this means that every single query now handles errors in a manner that produces useful logs.
  • Fixed own profile issue when having no friends or enemies
  • Fixed Friends & Enemies list showing error when there are no connections
  • Added Dog name check and broke inventory and dogs.js caches
  • Fix for player events page not showing current page on pagination buttons
  • Cleaned up attack code for attack buttons, fixed attack buttons not appearing if in hospital or Jail
  • Fixed player events pagination buttons not appearing in some cases.
  • Fixed players Friends and Enemies showing wrong count on own profile
  • Fixed Medical Cooldown status showing max of 24 hours rather than 12
  • Fix for Removing Enemy not working
  • Fixed player not being release from Jail in some cases
