Couple things to note for newer players looking at this. Coke now gives 50e instead of 100e with 3 hour drug cooldown added. (You can stack coke here and take many at once it's similar to booster cooldown)
Jobs: pretty much all the job skills get slightly easier around 3-4 percent and every 10-20 percent you will hit a slight bump in increase to fails but power through them and you'll get more successes. This also applies once you prestige jobs your skill goes back to zero and takes time to build back up to get more successful job rate.
University: after the release of narco courses it may be beneficial to do these after medical and combat. Definitely do medical first. If you aren't rushing stats you could afford to knock out some narco courses. Combat is good for the overall gains you want to get that knocked out too but depends on how you play if you want more money first or more stats.
Other things to note. Jari has an int training guide you can also find in the forums. Follow this guide to get your intellect capped as it not only increases gym gains by a significant amount it also increases your job success rate as well.
Hope this helps!

This is a more detailed guide in reference to Cinyx original guide
As newbie you might find it hard to understand the game, but this guide should give you a boost. Your new player status will change once you're 7 days old.
Energy
The base energy is 100. If you have donator status it changes to 200. But the regeneration is the same, 5 energy every 10 minutes. You consume 20 energy when you attack/mug other Narcos.
When you study Intelligence at the university (not when taking courses though).
Using cocaine will Increases energy by 100.
NOTE: Cocaine Increases drug cooldown by 6 hours. Possible overdose effect of -20% all Combat Stats
Life
Doesn't need an explanation besides that the regeneration is 10% every 10 minutes. You gain 50 hp upon leveling up.
Levels
Leveling up gives you more hp, and by getting to level 5 you can create a cartel. Your progress towards your next level is based on your reputation. Your first level up will be at 1530 reputation.
Jobs
This is one of many ways to make money and get reputation in the game. The jobs take a certain amount of time to perform, it can be seen in the job details. To improve your success rate, you need to work on your intelligence (higher intelligence equals higher succes rate).
You also get a certain amount of percentage of job experience when you do the job. This improves your success rate. If you by any chance fail, you don't loose experience. For job experience, you gain individual job experience which increases the success rate of that particular job. You also gain a small amount of hidden global job experience which mildly increases all success chances.
As a newbie start off with intimidation job up to 5% before moving to farm robbery. Once you get to 800-1000 reputation you can move to arson. There might be some failures at the beginning but keep on doing it.
Arson for reputation and farm robbery for money
Farm robbery gives 20-25 reputation and 1-10 fertilizer, Arson gives 13-18k products and 70-80 reputation.
Mind you each fertilizer sells for 14-16k
Jobs has three colors, Red(Hard), orange (medium) and green( easy), you will need to get your job experience to a certain level before it can move to green color.
Below is the required job experience percentage needed before your job can become easier.
Intimidation: 4-5%
Arson: Unknown
Grand Theft Auto: Unknown
Transport Drugs: Unknown
Farm Robbery: 3-4%
Agave Storehouse Robbery: Unknown
Coca Paste Robbery: Unknown
Blackmail: Unknown
Hacking: Unknown
San Andréas University
San Andréas University will provide you with education courses that will help you get more intelligent. By being more intelligent you will train more efficiently in the gym and you will hopefully succeed more with your crimes. If your dumb *** gets arrested/hospitalized while doing a specific job, you simply aren't intelligent enough!
Start off with medical course cause it gives the most Intelligence which In return boost Job experience than other course plus you will need it for reviving narcos once you get to 10k reputation and open production.
Combat should be next for you then any other course.
Gym
You have four different stats you can train at the gym. It is quite simple and self explanatory. The total amount of stats is your battle stat which kind of indicates how much of a beast you are compared to others.
Strength
This stat improves your damage when hitting during attacks.
Defence
This stat reduces the amount of damage when defending during attacks
Agility
This stat improves your chances of dodging damage during attacks.
Accuracy
This stat improves your chances of hitting with weapons.
So far there's no proven ratio for gym gains but you can check Drago's guide on stats, ratio and training.
San Pedro Prison
Every once in a while you will end up in prison when doing jobs. Remember to be careful with the soap!
When in jail you can wait out the time or bribe the guards to let you out earlier.
Pets
Once a Dog House has been purchased you can buy Dogs at the pet shop under the town section. Dogs will assist you in fights against other players and will gain experience by doing so.
Dogs have 3 primary stats: Attack, which affects the damage caused during a fight. Speed, which affects the chance of a Dog making an attack each turn, and Accuracy, which is the chance for a dogs attack to hit the enemy.
Dogs come in several rarities from Common to the very rare 'Legendary', this impacts the minimum and maximum possible random stats a dog is assigned.
Each day you may Train and Feed a dog once which will both increase Loyalty by a small amount which in turn can boost each of the Dogs fighting stats by up to 10% total.
Three random dogs are listed everyday, do well to check you might get lucky to see a rare Dog.
Cartel
A Cartel allows players to work together to take down other cartels, build up reputation, and gain various perks such as passive stat increases, reduced bank costs etc.
Cartel narcos position are always open due to inactive, do well to always check or contact the capo.
To create a Cartel you must be level 5 or higher. The cost of creating a new Cartel is currently £150,000, but unless you're very experienced, it is suggested you join an existing Cartel.
Bank
Need to safeguard your ill-gotten gains? Want to make smart financial decisions? Then La Paz Central Bank is the place to be. You can either store money in the savings account which allows quick access or can invest the money in a long-term account which earns interest but can't be quickly accessed.
The short term savings account allows you to save up to £500,000,000 with instant access to funds, however they do charge 0.1% on any deposits to 'clean' the funds.
Items
You can purchase your items ranging from weapons to drugs at the town shops or item market.
